Whistle Blower Policy

1. Policy Statement

BIG CARING GROUP is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and accountability in all areas of its businesses and operations. To support these values, BIG CARING GROUP provides a secure and confidential channel for employees, business partners, and members of the public to disclose any improper conduct within the organization.

2. Objective of the Policy

To provide an avenue for employees of BCG and members of the public to disclose any improper conduct in accordance with the procedures as provided for under this Policy, and to provide protection for employees and members of the public who report such allegations.

3. Scope of the Policy

The Policy covers disclosure of any improper conduct, including but not limited to:

  • Fraud
  • Bribery or corruption
  • Abuse of power or authority
  • Conflict of interest
  • Theft or embezzlement
  • Financial misconduct or mismanagement of funds
  • Misuse of company property or assets
  • Non-compliance with policies, laws or regulations
  • Harassment or discrimination
  • Health, safety, or environmental violations
  • Other unethical, illegal, or irresponsible actions

Our Policy is not intended as a measure for issues where existing policies or procedures are already in place to deal with issues such as personal grievances or feedback involving improvement on policies or procedures.

4. Applicability of the Policy

Our Policy applies to every employee, director of BCG. Joint venture companies in which BCG is not a controlling stakeholder and associate companies of BCG are encouraged to adopt this Policy whilst our contractors, agents, outsourced workers and business associates are required to always act consistently with applicable parts of this Policy when dealing with, acting on behalf or in the name of BCG. This Policy also applies to members of the public, where relevant.

5. Procedure in Making a Disclosure

All disclosures are to be reported via secured and confidential channels in accordance with the procedures as provided under this Policy.

6. Protection to Whistleblower

A whistleblower will be accorded with protection of confidentiality of identity, to the extent reasonably practicable. In addition, an employee who whistleblows internally will also be protected against any adverse and detrimental actions for disclosing any improper conduct committed or about to be committed within BIG Caring Group, to the extent reasonably practicable, provided that the disclosure is made in good faith. Such protection is accorded even if the investigation later reveals that the whistleblower is mistaken as to the facts and the rules and procedures involved.

7. Anonymous Whistleblower

Any employee or member of the public who wishes to report improper conduct may remain anonymous.

8. Personal Data of Minors

Data relating to individuals under 18 is collected only with verified consent from a parent or legal guardian.

9. Notification

When you report a concern, you can expect that your report will be treated seriously, fairly and promptly. You may expect updates during and upon completion of our investigation, unless we take the view that disclosure may impede investigation. BIG Caring Group reserves the right to amend this Policy from time to time.
